09 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
10 - 1/2 cup whole milk, room temperature (120 ml)
11 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
12 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

13 - 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
14 - 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, optional for dusting

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
02 - Toss sliced plums with 1 tablespoon sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
03 - Whisk together all-purpose flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
04 - Beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes, using an electric mixer or whisk.
05 - Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
06 - Add half the dry ingredients to wet mixture, pour in milk, then add remaining dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
07 - Pour batter into prepared pan, smooth surface, arrange sugared plum slices evenly on top, and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
08 - Bake for 38 to 42 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the cake turns golden brown.
09 - Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
